There are several news items regarding high levels of lead in the water of Village homes. This is NOT a problem with the Village's water system. The problem appears in older homes, the ones that were built with lead solder on the pipes. The use of lead in water pipes was outlawed in 1984. The lead in the pipes can dissolve into the water supply if the water sits long enough without being used. If the water is run regularly there really is not a problem. If the water sits in the pipes for 8+ hours, you should run the water for 30 seconds to clear any possibly tainted water from the pipes.
