    Pewaukee - Politics

The last few weeks have been extremely busy for me with work. Several projects needed direct attention and I just spent a week in Baltimore doing factory acceptance testing on the replacement equipment for our vehicle locating system. Upon my return, I only has about 700 e-mail messages to wade through.

This week promises to be busy with city related business. Monday is the Common Council meeting, Wednesday is the Merger Advisory Committee meeting at the High School and Thursday is the Plan Commission meeting.

The Merger Advisory Committee is presenting the study done by outside consultants. That meeting is at the high School Auditorium at 6pm.

The Plan Commission meeting will be reviewing, and possibly adopting, the 2035 land use plan for the City. That meeting is in the Common Council Chambers at 7pm.

Is this merger study going to be available on line?

    Andy,

I would hope that the information that has been gathered so far will be made public. I suspect that the analysis that will be presented on Wednesday will be made available after the meeting. If it is not made available in electronic format, I will make is so myself.

I really do not know what all will be presented at the meeting as I have not seen the analysis report. I have seen a part of the summary and it refers to possible methods that will allow a merged community to have a tax rate that is not higher than what the City tax rate currently is. This is of course a major issue because no one in the city wants to pay more to save money.

    Dale,

There has been talk around the ol' water cooler at Duke LaCrosse Enterprises that the only reason some of the city alderPERSONS (shout-out to our females) are pushing for the merger is so that the adlermanic electoral districts can be redrawn. Some say that certain alderPERSONS have been caught googling "getting away with gerrymandering" on city computers.

I have heard (from a reliable source) that Dale Noll is looking to use aldermanic privilege to redraw the lines so that the highly-desirable high-rent district of Morris St. (between Wisconsin Ave and Bluemound) falls within his district. Dale, I hope these are just unsubstaniated rumors. I would like to think you're above that, and not just trying to redraw your district so that you can line your pockets with donations of Morris Street's well-to-do.

Dale, please confirm or deny these rumors.

    Thanks.

Duke LaCrosse, Lake Country Aldermanic Oversight Committee Chair

    Well Well Well.

It just so happens I have a degree in Gerrymandering along with several years of experience. Our consultants have over 72 years collective experience in this field. We have been aiding in the art of Gerrymandering since the concept came about in the early 1800's. My great-great-great-great-grandfather, Carl Winslow, started the family business and it has since been passed down to me.

    Dale,

Knowing Duke Lacrosse Enterprises and all their rumors, I highly doubt these rumors are true, however if they are, please contact me. I think my firm could really help you in your quest.

    Sincerely,

Eddie Winslow, President, Winslow Gerrymandering Political Consultants LLC.
